General
information
My very first amigurumi or toy
design! Little Man requested a piggy and I had a big ball of pink yarn lying
around.
Skill
level
Beginner
Abbreviations
Ch: chain
Sl st: slip stitch
Sc: single crochet
Sc2tog: single crochet 2 together
Notes
My gauge was pretty tight for this piggy (4 sc in an inch,
4.5 rounds in an inch). You can choose any yarn and any hook combination, just
keep the stitches a bit tight so no filling will come out.
Keep a nice lenght of yarn on each body part after fastening
off. I left about 12” or 30 cm of yarn attached.
Try to stuff the parts evenly.
Look at the photos for assembly.
Finished measurement
About 8” or 20 cm long and about 4.5” or 12 cm in height
(without ears).
Materials
Wibra Saskia Pink (worsted weight yarn)
Crochet hook size 3.5 mm
Polyester filling
Darning needle

you have one ch left, sl st in last stitch. Fasten off and leave a tail to sew

For
assembly, please refer to the photos in this pattern. Sew all body parts to the
body itself with a whip stitch. I sewed the back paws at a wider angle than the
front paws to keep the piggy in a more of a sitting position.
With
embroidery floss make two eyes.
If you want to you can attach buttons for extra
cuteness!
Don't know why but this caught my eye:@) It's absolutely adorable!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThank you! Your blog is very happy and funny with all the piggy's ! I am going to follow you :)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenIt doesn't mention filling the paws - but they appear to be filled (?)
