Notes
Keep in mind when picking up yarn for this project you want to keep fire hazard risks as low as possible. Choose either cotton yarn or a cotton/acrylic blend.

Finished measurement
9” x 9” before assembly, 10” x 10” after assembly

Materials
Tunisian crochet needle 5.0 mm (if you crochet very tight, go up to a 6.0 mm)
Phildar Aviso (Aran weight yarn), cotton/acrylic blend (use something similar because of fire hazard)
Darning needle

Pattern

Chain 28, or make as much chains to get a length of about 9”

Row 1: Make a foundation row. You will have 29 loops on hook after the forward pass, and one loop after a return pass.

Row 2-24 (or as much rows to get a square of 9”x9”):
Forward Pass: TSS in each stitch.
Return Pass: Ch1, * yo, pull through 2 loops* repeat between ** until you have one loop left on hook.

Repeat the Tunisian Simple Stitch forward pass and return pass until you have a square of 9” x 9” or about 24 rows.

If you have a square, finish off by making a finishing row according to the TSS way of inserting your hook.

Fasten off.

Make another three squares.

Take two squares, wrong sides together, right sides facing outwards. Attach yarn in a corner of a square.

Ch1, sc 3 times into a corner, sc once in each stitch along the sides.

You made two potholders!
