Learn to Crochet Tunisian Style: Tunisian Reverse Stitch

 Missed a lesson? Lesson 1 contains the tutorial of the Tunisian Simple Stitch, the foundation row and the closing row !

 The Tunisian Reverse Stitch (TRS) is a stitch that you work on the backside of your work. It gives a slightly elevated bumpy look.

Here we go:

 

Make a foundation row.

 

For clarification I turned over my work. You are now facing the wrong side of my foundation row.

 

Insert the needle from right to left underneath the back vertical bar.

 

Like this.

 

Yarn over and pull up loop. Repeat these steps for the rest of the stitches until you get to the last stitch.

For the last stitch of the forward pass, you need to insert your hook between the middle and the most left (in picture).

This is what it looks like on the right side of your work.

 

One row of TRS!

After this, start your return pass with a chain 1 and repeat * yarn over, pull through 2 loops* for all loops on hook.
