Today I am going to show you the Tunisian Purl Stitch! It looks like a knitted purl stitch but it is a bit more difficult to manouver around with both hook and yarn. But, it looks so nice!
Start with a foundation row
Put your working yarn in front of your work
Insert hook under second front vertical bar, just like the TSS
Here ya go
Now the hard part. Take your work yarn and wrap it around your hook from back to front
Pull through
Here's how it works if I hold my work. Yarn in front of work.
Insert my hook, and wrap the yarn (it goes over your loop on your hook as you can see) from back to front over your hook. Pull through loop.
Work all stitches. When you arrive at your last stitch, work it the same as you did with the TSS. The hook goes in between the front loops of the chain stitch. You will have (the one that is sticking out in the pic and is the most vertical) one loop in front of your hook and two at the back after insertion.
Like this. Work it the same as you did with the other stitches and ch1 and make a normal return pass.
Here's how a couple of rows of TPS looks like!
Aaaaaaaaand this weeks practice pattern is a small one! Just to get a hang of this TPS stitch!
Have fun!
