What a week. Lots of appointments, an almost-there-completely working week, busy kids, quite a bit of rain (aargh! biking through rain is absolutely no fun) and unfortunately lots of headaches.
Last Thursday, after all the rain, the Sun came out and the kids and I went for a little walk. It was lovely to see the sheep again.
And it seems rain equals lots and lots of green. Every tree, grass, shrubbery is stretching out his branches with leaves. I love it (although it means lots of branches that need cutting back in the garden).
Hopefully, in a month or so, all the bright summer colours will pop up.
And today was a lovely productive day. A bit of a "me" day in a kind of way.
Making Henna mud for my hair... It has been too long! I am trying to take care of my hair very consciencely. If I put some effort in it I know I feel better. Before I "burned out" I could left it uncombed for two days in a row normally, but I felt horrible about it. So right now, every morning, I take two to three minutes (yes, that is all it takes even though it is classic length) and comb it and put it up in a bun. Makes me feel so much better about myself.
Squiggly toes in the bathtub!
I´ve made quit a bit of progress again in the front yard. I am trying to put order in the chaos, and it seems it is working! It is not done yet, but we are getting there.
Scrunchy munchie cookies, fresh out of the oven.
Very very nice reddish hues in my hair. I wonder how it looks tomorrow when the henna is fully oxidized.
And I am trying some new tools: Clover Amour crochet hooks. They are going to be tested thoroughly!
I hope you had a lovely Sunday! I know I did. Productive and nice.
xXx
So many good things in this post Barbara...little feet, blue flowers, sheep, henna that looks like brownie batter. Nice post!
