Friday Find!
It's hot hot hot today and I have been giving class instructions in our botanical garden in the blistering sun. Man, it was hot! I would love to have a nice hat!
So today's find are sun hats! These are all free patterns.
Wat was het heet vandaag, en terwijl ik buiten in de zon in onze heemtuin lesgaf had ik eigenlijk wel behoefte aan een beetje bescherming op mijn hoofd... Man wat was het heet!
Dus voor de Friday Find van deze week lekkere zonnehoedjes! Het zijn allemaal gratis patronen.

Busy Fingers Showing Off! #53
Hello helly my dears,
The last weeks before the summer vacation have started and I am flooded with grading work. I am trying to keep up but it has not been easy. For some kind of reason parents and students are sending out more emails than I am used to and I am not thrilled about since they are keeping me from my normal work. Some emails are really necessary, but some are completely not. I don't know what it is that triggered this year's email flood!
But right now I am taking a break from grading and will check out all of the projects that have been linked up during last weeks Link Party!

De laatste weken voor de zomervakantie zijn gestart en ik ben overspoeld met nakijkwerk. Ik probeer het bij te houden maar het is niet makkelijk door flink wat afleiding van een hoop emails. Deze emails zijn vooral van ouders en leerlingen die nog wat los proberen te peuteren zo voor het eindrapport. Sommige zijn echt wel nodig maar de meesten niet. Het is zo raar want dit is het eerste jaar dat ik zo veel oudermail in mijn mailbox krijg. Zijn ze echt zo veel mondiger geworden?
Maar nu even een kleine pauze van het nakijken en ga ik lekker rondneuzen bij de links van de afgelopen Link Party!

Pity Buy / Troostkoop
I had plans for today.
Little did I know that most of them are still on my to-do list.
The wall paperer was going to help us out with the first room today and after some rearranging and putting all his stuff together he got busy.
After two hours he was done.
This afternoon I found out there were huge dents in our wooden floor in the exact same spot as where his glue table stood.
In the middle of our living room!
I called the company and someone from this company came to check things out. I was in a hissing fit if you know what I mean because he was trying to belittle me, saying that the paperer set up his stuff outside the house but that wasn't true!
I thought I would break down and cry.
I tried to let of steam, and luckily my dear hubby called and took the task of really getting angry off of my shoulders.
I had so many plans... One was finishing a pattern. Taking picture of my newly designed tam. Etc.
So I bought flowers. I really wanted to smash something and curse, but I bought flowers :)
I think I am officially a silly woman :)
Ik had zo veel plannen voor vandaag.
Helaas kon ik niet voorspellen wat er zou gaan gebeuren en dat het meeste op mijn to-do lijstje zou blijven staan.
De behanger zou vandaag komen om de eerste kamer te behangen en na wat spullen opzetten en neerzetten en installeren ging hij aan de slag.
Na twee uur was hij klaar.
In de middag kwam ik erachter dat er grote deuken zaten in het midden van de woonkamer waar de lijmtafel had gestaan...
Ik heb het bedrijf gebeld en iemand van de behangdienst is toen komen kijken. Ik was echt woedend want hij probeerde het probleem te sussen en zei dat de behanger alles buiten was opgezet terwijl dat helemaal niet waar is!
Als de planken er uit moeten dan moet een groot deel van de kamer van laminaat ontdaan worden...
Ik was echt wel over mijn toeren.
Ik heb geprobeerd om het los te laten de uren daarna maar dat was nog wel lastig echt wel. Gelukkig belde mijn lieve echtgenoot en nam hij de taak op zich om eens goed woedend te worden en te bellen.
Ik had zo veel plannen.... Eentje er van was een patroon afmaken. Een foto maken van een gehaakte baret/muts. Een toets nakijken. Etc.
Dus vanmiddag, omdat ik mezelf het waard vind, kocht ik bloemen. Ik had enorm zin om iets kapot te gooien en te schelden maar ik kocht lekker bloemen :)
Ik denk dat ik officieel raar ben :)
